The Shilo Group are three younger generation Ukrainian photographers (Vladyslav Krasnoshchok, Sergiy Lebedynskyy and Vadym Trykoz), which in its work deals with current and past social conditions of Ukraine. Their most prominent project, Euromaidan, 2014, received numerous awards and nominations, e.g. ranking among the top twenty photobooks of 2014, according to the Paris Photo and the Aperture Foundation.
About Emina Djukić
Emina Djukić (1982) is a visual artist and educator. She completed MA studies of photography in VŠVU in Bratislava. At the moment she teaches at the Academy of fine art and design, direction photography. Between 2005 and 2010, she worked at the Institute Youth Culture Centre Medvode, where she has also been a Program Director for a certain period. For many years she also worked as a mentor at a summer workshop Celje Fokus and was its Artistic Director in 2013. Since 2015 she is an associate in the Editorial Board of the magazine Fotografija. She has been exploring the medium for a long time; at the moment she mainly deals with the narrative possibilities of photography and its attitude towards the past. Her most recent photographic project, entitled Burden of Freedom, deals with processes of choice and decision-making.
